Job Summary:

As a Service Center Manager, you will lead a team to ensure efficient operation of the service center, drive business growth, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with District Sales Manager, Office System Specialist, and Operations Supervisors to achieve terminal operations and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer review and approval of invoices, terminal expenses, and collections, as well as time card approval.
• Make sales calls, manage a sales territory, and develop profitable business opportunities.
• Approve and issue station drafts, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
• Maintain the security, maintenance, and upkeep of the terminal facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
• Purchase office and dock supplies for the terminal, ensuring a well-stocked and organized workspace.
• Conduct annual terminal self-audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Hire, schedule, develop, discipline, motivate, counsel, and coach management and touch labor staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
• Develop relationships with outside vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective service delivery.
• Collaborate with Regional Maintenance Superintendent to facilitate equipment maintenance and repairs, and work with Operations to improve profitability and monitor office functions.
• Work with District Sales Manager to monitor and grow sales and market share, driving business growth and revenue increase.
• Communicate with touch labor, supervisory, and sales personnel to address issues and relay feedback, providing relevant information to upper management.
• Apply contractual labor rules to applicable employees, maintaining labor relations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Address customer relations and other ABF service center issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Represent the company at grievance hearings, as necessary, upholding the company's values and policies.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced and intense environment, working collaboratively with the team to achieve department goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring the success of the service center and the company as a whole.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, preferred.
• Five years of experience in field operations management and/or sales, required.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent computer and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Availability to handle terminal issues 24/7, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented and customer service-minded, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
