Maintenance Mechanic Senior

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic SR to join our team at Clean Harbors. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled general maintenance, repair, and modification of machinery and mechanical equipment. Your duties will include but not be limited to performing preventative maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems, examining mechanical equipment to diagnose potential future problems, and assembling and installing mechanical equipment and systems following drawings, blueprints, and general instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled general maintenance, repair, and modification of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
- Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose potential future problems.
- Assemble and install mechanical equipment and systems following drawings, blueprints, and general instructions.
- May provide leadership to junior personnel.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- 3-5 years maintenance experience in a plant or industrial environment preferred.
- Plant maintenance experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanically inclined/strong troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulic/pneumatics, boilers, installations, fabrication and welding.
- Pumps experience - positive displacement and diaphragm pumps an asset.
- Familiar with 480v.
- Troubleshooting PLCs preferred.
- Small packaging, canning or bottling maintenance experience a plus.
- Self-motivated with ability to follow direction and take initiative.
- Permit writing experience preferred.
- Continuous learning mindset.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position and lift up to 50lbs, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects.
- Clean and valid driver's license.
