Aircraft Maintenance Technician

The A&P Mechanic plays a crucial role in executing aircraft maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer quality standards. This position demands effective organization of work tasks to maximize efficiency and resourcefulness. The A&P Mechanic is committed to maintaining a safe work environment, minimizing waste, and delivering high-quality results within designated timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
As a skilled A&P Mechanic, your expertise includes:
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as the removal and installation of aircraft and powerplant components, which involves bolting, torquing, adjusting, rigging, and safety wiring.
- Diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, servicing, inspecting, modifying, replacing, and overhauling aircraft and their systems, utilizing approved documentation to guarantee airworthiness.
- Adhering to all relevant specifications to complete assigned tasks.
- Upholding a clean and secure working environment.
- Completing work within the estimated timeframes.
- Following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Completing necessary documentation related to assigned duties.
- Safely operating ground support equipment, as applicable and qualified.
- Working independently with minimal supervision and completing tasks with little to no rework.
- Providing support to colleagues through coaching and guidance.
- Effectively communicating with management, other departments, and team members.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Possession of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
- Must have personal tools as specified in the company tool list.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Exposure to noise levels exceeding acceptable limits.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods, as well as climb ladders and service stands.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials, necessitating the use of safety equipment.
- Capability to breathe through a full-face respirator.
- Participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program is required.
- Normal or corrected hearing is essential.
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
- Minimum visual acuity requirements must be met, with or without correction.
