Apheresis Technician

We are seeking a skilled Apheresis Technician to join our Blood Donor Clinic team at Dartmouth Health. As a key member of our team, you will work directly with donors to collect blood, plasma, or platelets for our patients.
Responsibilities include performing donor interviews, determining donor suitability, and conducting whole blood phlebotomy and automated apheresis donations. You will also be responsible for labeling sample tubes and collection packs, completing records, and performing post-collection handling of products.

Key Responsibilities- Perform donor interviews and determine donor suitability
- Conduct whole blood phlebotomy and automated apheresis donations
- Label sample tubes and collection packs, complete records, and perform post-collection handling of products
- Assist other Blood Donor Center staff in managing reactions and medical emergencies
- Maintain equipment and stocks supplies
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Formal phlebotomy training required
- Apheresis experience preferred
- 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred
- 1 year of medical/technical experience desired
