Mechanical Engineering Lecturer Pool 2024-2025

Job Summary
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time lecturer pool. We are looking for individuals with expertise or experience in various areas of mechanical engineering, including computer-aided design, mechanics, and thermal sciences.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering
- Develop and implement curriculum in areas of expertise
- Advise students and provide guidance on academic and professional matters
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- University teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated currency in subject matter

Salary and Benefits
Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background. Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
