Job Title: Senior Project Engineer, Electrical

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer, Electrical to join our team at DPR Construction. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for providing construction support for MEP systems, participating in EIG's Environmental Health and Safety Plan, and enforcing contracts between EIG and Subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide construction support for MEP systems, including participation in EIG's Environmental Health and Safety Plan
  • Enforce contracts between EIG and Subcontractors, as well as EIG and DPR
  • Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in implementing EIG's policies and executing the project
  • Organize the duties of other Engineers, Field Office Coordinator, Project Accountant, and other assigned project staff
  • Participate in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth
  • Organize and electronically archive project files for easy access by the project team
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, working with the Superintendent to reduce project constraints' impact on the schedule
  • Prepare, maintain, and implement various document control entities, such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs
  • Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties
  • Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings, including Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings
  • Monitor testing and inspection records and reports, safety inspection and accident logs and reports, record building permit inspections and sign-offs
Qualifications:
  • Grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts
  • Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the project's current needs
  • Detailed knowledge of the assigned project scopes with 100% hands-on approach
  • Desire to seek out and resolve construction problems/conflicts that arise during design and construction phases
  • Goal-oriented approach to promptly coordinate and resolve project issues within the project team (interfacing with Designers, Engineers, and Owners)
  • Excellent listening and strong communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Effective participation in team environment
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar), and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within EIG's core markets
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Strong work ethic, 'can-do' attitude, and passion for construction
