JOB SUMMARY

The IT Project Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and oversight of designated projects, operating under the guidance of the PMO Director. The IT Project Manager will work closely with a diverse project team, which may include healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and other stakeholders.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or Management Engineering is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years of IT experience in a healthcare setting is essential, with at least 2 years in a Project Manager role overseeing facility or application implementations preferred.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and within small teams, often in leadership capacities
  • Capacity to perform under pressure
  • Proficient in conveying technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Strong understanding of time management and prioritization
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and negotiation abilities
  • Robust logical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Project
  • Exceptional meeting facilitation capabilities
  • Strong customer relations expertise
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary clinical practices

LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

A valid California Driver's License, Class C, is required. Certification from the Project Management Institute (CAPM or PMP) is advantageous.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct interviews and focus groups with stakeholders
  • Develop and document essential activities and workflows
  • Effectively communicate project progress
  • Ensure a seamless transition of projects to end-users

  • Coordinate and manage third-party vendors
  • Establish project teams and facilitate effective communication
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets
  • Engage with users to identify operational strategies
