Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Services:
    • Assessment & Diagnosis:
      • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients.
    • Therapeutic Interventions:
      • Provide evidence-based therapeutic services, including individual, family, and group therapy.
      • Utilize various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
      • Develop and implement treatment plans with clear goals and measurable outcomes.
    • Crisis Intervention:
      • Offer crisis intervention services to clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and stabilization.
    • Case Management:
      • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, community resources, and social service agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
      • Advocate for clients' needs and assist them in accessing necessary services, such as housing, financial assistance, and medical care.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure integrated care.
  • Client Education:
    • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Professional Development:

  • Continuous Learning:
    • Stay current with advancements in social work practice, mental health treatment, and therapeutic interventions through continuing education and professional development.
  • Supervision & Mentorship:
    • Provide supervision and mentorship to social work interns or less experienced staff, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Certification:
    • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure:
    • Active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Michigan.

Experience:

  • Clinical Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on mental health counseling and therapy.
    • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Sign-On Bonus: Active sign-on bonus of $5,000 (paid out at day 90).
