Job Description:

As a Unit Helper at Eastside Center for Health & Rehabilitation, you will have the chance to gain hands-on training and mentorship in providing care to our residents. This entry-level position is perfect for those who want to start their career in healthcare under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in professional training to develop knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures.
  • Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision.
  • Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents.
  • Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being of residents.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill, with the ability to work with both.
  • Possess a passion for healthcare and a desire to learn and grow in a long-term care setting.
  • Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Excel in communication and teamwork skills.
