About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our medical surgical unit at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and start IV fluids, documenting patient information in their electronic medical record.
- Monitor patients' conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Provide basic patient care, including taking vital signs, measuring temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and using the restroom.
- Maintain a safe environment, adhering to Northern Light Health policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in the state of Maine
- BLS certification
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
