Job Title: Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor is a vital role at Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, responsible for providing guidance, support, and oversight to Peer Support Specialists. This position plays a crucial part in promoting recovery, self-advocacy, and self-direction among beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide coaching, mentoring, and consultation to Peer Support Specialists to enhance their skills and knowledge in promoting recovery and wellness.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of programs that promote recovery, self-advocacy, and self-direction among beneficiaries.
  • Team Support: Offer support and guidance to Peer Support Specialists in their daily work, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of services provided by Peer Support Specialists, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as recovery coaching, mental health, and wellness.

Requirements:

  • Education: A 4-year degree in a Human Services field is required.
  • Certifications: Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification is preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of the population served, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily in the client's living environment and in the community, with occasional exposure to cigarette smoke, domestic animals/pets, and other household-related issues.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, talking, and hearing. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
