Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor is a key member of our team at Southeastern Integrated Care LLC, responsible for providing coaching, mentoring, and consultation to beneficiaries to promote recovery, self-advocacy, and self-direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wellness Management Strategies: Promote wellness management strategies, including delivering manualized interventions such as Wellness Recovery Action Planning or Illness Management and Recovery.
- Psychiatric Advance Directives: Assist beneficiaries in developing psychiatric advance directives.
- Behavioral and Substance Abuse Treatment: Assist with behavioral and substance abuse treatment interventions.
- Recovery Values: Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal actions to encourage wellness and resilience.
- Consultation and Training: Provide consultation to team members to assist in understanding of recovery and the role of the Peer Support Specialists, promoting a culture in which beneficiaries' points of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment.
- Person-Centered Plan: Participate in the initial Person-Centered Plan and its ongoing revisions, ensuring the implementation of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) if QP status.
- Empowerment and Support: Support and empower the individual to exercise their legal rights within the community.
- First Responder System: Participate in a first responder on-call system available to consumers and/or their natural support network on a 24/7/365 basis, coordinating first response resources according to consumer needs and the PCP.
- Confidentiality and Record-Keeping: Ensure confidentiality regarding sensitive and protected information, maintaining required records such as documentation of progress notes and ensuring timely and accurate compliance of the medical records according to the record service manual.
- Electronic Medical Records: Accurately document all billable encounters into Southeastern Integrated Care LLC's EMR system within 24 hours, with any corrections entered within 24 hours of being notified.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not oversee staff.

Education/Experience:
- Must possess a 4-year degree in a Human Services field.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the population served.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Certified Peer Support Specialist (preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have North Carolina Peer Support Certification, with current certification maintained.

Work is performed primarily in the clients' living environment and in the community, with potential exposure to cigarette smoke, domestic animals/pets, household pests, uncomfortable heating/cooling, and other issues related to the domestic location in which service is delivered.

Must be able to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
