Healthcare Consultant

We are seeking an experienced actuarial consultant to join our San Diego healthcare practice. As a key member of our team, you will provide consulting services to clients in the healthcare industry, including health plans, government payers, providers, and reinsurers.
Key Responsibilities- Interface with clients to understand their needs and manage projects internally
- Use Milliman models and resources to produce healthcare cost projections and other actuarial work products
- Draft written reports and other correspondence
- Review the work of others as part of Milliman's commitment to high-quality work
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or another analytic field
- Achievement of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
- Roughly 8+ years of relevant actuarial work experience in Medicaid or commercial health insurance
- Prior experience with benefits and/or pricing for plans offered through state or federally facilitated exchanges
- Willingness and aptitude for detailed work
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
