Job Overview

As a Coffee Equipment Service Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial espresso machinery and related equipment.

Compensation: $20-29/hr plus potential bonuses based on market conditions.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (may vary by market)
  • On-Call Rotation: Every 3-4 weeks
  • Travel Requirements: Overnight travel may be necessary depending on market needs

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Skills: Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to troubleshoot and interpret diagrams and schematics.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose and repair commercial espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, and other specialty coffee equipment.
  • Technical Liaison: Engage with manufacturers for assistance with diagnostics and parts identification, and consult with the Technical Assistance Group for on-site support.
  • Parts Installation: Efficiently install parts ordered for clients in accordance with company policies.
  • Service Enhancement: Promote additional services offered by the company to clients when appropriate.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete necessary administrative tasks, including work orders, time tracking, receipts, and inventory management.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and accident prevention measures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keep service vehicle organized and maintain accurate inventory of parts and tools.
  • Productivity Goals: Meet or exceed company productivity standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of technical experience in areas such as:
    • Maintenance
    • HVAC
    • Commercial Kitchen Equipment
    • Commercial Coffee Equipment
    • Refrigeration
  • Relevant experience from HVAC or technical schools is also acceptable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Background check
  • Drug screening
  • Driving record/MVR check
