In this position, you will take charge of evaluating and analyzing the energy consumption of everyday applications on our System on Chips (SoCs) and related systems.

Your role will involve delivering performance, power, and thermal measurement insights after thorough data processing using Python or other scripting languages.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with firmware and software teams to establish and configure power measurement setups utilizing laboratory instruments and profiling tools.
  • Conduct board-level power assessments of SoC devices while executing various workloads.
  • Analyze power measurement data, pinpoint sources of errors, and implement corrective measures.
  • Process collected data using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Provide updates and documentation for team review.
  • Engage in teamwork across multiple engineering disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree in electrical, systems, or computer engineering with over 5 years of experience in board-level power assessment.
  • Proficient in laboratory equipment for data acquisition, debugging probes, and data processing with profiling tools.
  • Experience in power measurement for SoC silicon utilizing benchtop instruments.
  • Strong skills in Python and other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with ADB commands in Android and Linux kernel environments.
  • Understanding of PCB schematics and layouts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in breaking down various software and system workloads to evaluate resource utilization and analyze performance, power, and thermal metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with power management design and characterization in consumer electronics, including power delivery networks.
  • Experience in characterizing power for electrical components such as processors, DSPs, camera subsystems, display subsystems, and sensor subsystems.
  • Knowledge of Android and Linux Kernel Power Management frameworks.
  • Experience in analyzing power versus thermal behavior on SoCs.
  • Familiarity with mobile SoC architecture.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $250,000, influenced by various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand.

This range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
