Regional Maintenance Manager Job Description

Global Medical Response Inc is seeking a highly skilled Regional Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance of our aircraft fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft, while also maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the maintenance organization within the assigned region, including operational bases and the regional maintenance facility.
  • Ensure company aircraft are maintained in accordance with airworthiness standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Oversee the management of aircraft maintenance activities and team members, including inspection, repair, overhaul, and modifications.
  • Prepare and maintain the scheduled heavy maintenance calendar, coordinating with the Operations department to ensure efficient maintenance events.
  • Manage after-hours maintenance support for unscheduled aircraft out-of-service events.
  • Administer the MEL Management Program, ensuring timely repair of deferred items.
  • Log, track, and update aircraft out-of-service events on the company intranet portal and maintain the company web-based Aircraft Status Board.
  • Ensure all aircraft events reportable per 14 CFR are processed in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Manage spare parts and materials inventory at the regional maintenance facility, ensuring it is maintained at appropriate levels.
  • Ensure all company-owned and technician-owned calibrated tools are calibrated and tracked on the company calibrated tool tracking log.
  • Maintain the technical publications library at the regional maintenance facility, ensuring it is current and accessible to technicians.
  • Lead the hangar environment, promoting efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain a close liaison with the Director of Maintenance to provide current status of aircraft and plan of action for unscheduled out-of-service events.
  • Oversee the execution of duties assigned to subordinates.
Requirements:
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • 10 years' relevant technical experience maintaining turboprop and turbine-powered aircraft.
  • 5 years' experience in an FAA 14 CFR Part 135 aircraft maintenance technical, management, or quality control supporting role.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical data and processes associated with aircraft maintenance and alterations.
  • Ability to manage a team of AMTs, building a strong team environment that fosters professional growth and encourages input for improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of 14 CFR regulations and associated guidance material applicable to maintenance and alterations of aircraft operated on a 14 CFR Part 135 air carrier certificate.
  • Able to take initiative, creating, implementing, and improving procedures and processes.
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Possess excellent organizational, administration, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, maintenance, or technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Valid and current FAA Inspection Authorization.
  • 10 years' experience in an FAA 14 CFR Part 135 aircraft maintenance management and/or supervisory role.
  • Significant maintenance experience with Beechcraft King Air series and Pilatus PC12 series turboprop aircraft.
  • Significant maintenance experience with Bombardier/Learjet light and mid-size jet aircraft.
