Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chef de Cuisine to join our team at Lake Como Co-op, Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in our resort kitchen.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.

Job Responsibilities

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled cook who takes pride in their work and can efficiently prepare and cook meals for our guests. As a Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products.
  2. Portioning and garnishing cooked items to create visually appealing plates.
  3. Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, and refrigeration equipment.
  4. Stocking and rotating food products to ensure a smooth service period.
  5. Assisting with food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with at least 2 years of kitchen experience.
  2. ServeSafe or Food Handler's Certification.
  3. Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes.
  4. Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure.
  5. Excellent time management skills.
  6. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
