Mother's Market is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Server to join our team. As a Restaurant Host/Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and Seat Guests: Welcome guests in a timely manner, ensure servers are aware of seating, and provide an estimated wait time during peak hours.
- Record Guest Information: Accurately record guest names, party sizes, and special requests, and communicate with servers to ensure seamless service.
- Take Phone Orders: Process phone orders, input them accurately into the point-of-sale system, and verify orders before serving guests.
- Manage Cash Handling: Maintain accurate tender in the cashier drawer, charge correct amounts to each order, and handle customer transactions efficiently.
- Maintain a Clean Environment: Ensure the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms are clean and safe for guests and staff.
- Assist Kitchen Staff: Support servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and maintain a smooth operation.
- Restock Supplies: Restock cups, cutlery, and other supplies from the stock room to maintain a well-stocked environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior restaurant experience is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and telephone skills, ability to communicate clearly, and basic math skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and push/pull carts and dollies.
