We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Assign nursing personnel and staff to specific patients, utilizing independent judgment and expertise.
- Designate shift and schedule assignments, ensuring adequate staffing to meet patient census.
- Supervise and direct staff providing patient care, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to hospital policies.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments to promote communication and problem-solving.
- Develop and implement efficient organizational structures, encouraging staff teamwork and growth initiatives.
- 2 years of directly related experience as a registered nurse.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
