Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst/Project Manager to join our Enterprise Applications & Analytics division. This role is pivotal in collaborating with various business units to deliver expert analysis on business processes and data. The successful candidate will lead the collection and analysis of business requirements while supporting the technical team throughout the system development lifecycle. The Business Systems Analyst will engage with employees across multiple departments including Training, Retail Banking, Commercial Lending, Risk Management, Marketing, Operations, and IT on collaborative projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business and Data Analysis:

  • Engage with internal business units to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze business needs to propose effective solutions.
  • Conduct interviews with end users to gather comprehensive business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for the development team.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering formal presentations outlining the solution, objectives, and scope.

Development and Implementation:

  • Ensure that developed systems, applications, and reports meet the defined business requirements.
  • Extract, compile, and analyze large datasets to produce actionable insights.
  • Maintain communication with end-users throughout the development process, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to create user manuals, reference materials, and technical documentation.
  • Participate actively in user training sessions for both internal and external users.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and document comprehensive test plans, including detailed test cases and expected outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and customer requirements in test plans and cases.
  • Verify that solutions align with business needs and requirements.
  • Engage end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to secure necessary approvals.

Project Management:

  • Create project plans that clearly define roles, objectives, and timelines.
  • Oversee project execution and communicate progress and any delays to stakeholders.
  • Report on schedule variances and potential changes in project scope.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to cultivate professional relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to learn new software technologies.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce and nCino is preferred.
  • Familiarity with design principles, systems development, and analysis.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on experience with MS-VISIO and MS-Projects for project planning.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.

Byline Bank offers competitive salary ranges with a focus on retaining and developing talented individuals. We regularly review our compensation structure to ensure fairness across teams and levels.

The salary range for this position is $84,100 to $100,000, based on various factors including education, experience, and certifications. In addition to salary, Byline Bank provides a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
