Position Overview
The Ambulatory Nurse Education Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the professional capabilities of the LifeBridge Health Medical Group (LBHMG) clinical staff. This position is essential for fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Director of Ambulatory Clinical Practice, the specialist will deliver professional development and educational resources to clinical staff.
- Conduct orientation sessions, competency evaluations, and ongoing educational programs tailored to the needs of all clinical personnel.
- Empower staff by promoting knowledge acquisition and striving for excellence through evidence-based clinical practices.
- Regularly assess the educational needs of clinical staff, manage clinical programs and courses, and evaluate the effectiveness of educational outcomes.
- Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to effectively communicate information to adult learners.
Qualifications:
- Advanced professional knowledge, typically equivalent to a Master's degree, with expertise in multiple disciplines.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree is required; alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in nursing education or clinical practice.
- Preferred: Maryland Registered Nurse Certification.
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- Current certification in CPR from the American Heart Association.
