The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Highway Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our highway engineering team, you will be responsible for leading roadway/highway analysis and design efforts on conventional and general engineering consultant and/or design-build projects for GDOT, county, and municipal clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications and project deliverable schedules and budgets
  • Monitoring labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects
  • Providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff and reviewing their work for technical accuracy
  • Participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that have a significant impact on the achievement of functional results
  • Proficient in construction document production and possessing strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders

Preferred qualifications include GDOT experience and expertise working on General Engineering Consultant and/or Design-Build contracts.
