We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Highway Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to grow their expertise and work on challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead roadway/highway analysis and design efforts on conventional and general engineering consultant and/or design-build projects for GDOT, county, and municipal clients.
  • Monitor labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects.
  • Coordinate with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications.
  • Meet project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.
  • Georgia PE licensure.
  • Proven experience leading and/or providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff.
  • Proven experience participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results.
  • Proficient in construction document production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GDOT experience.
  • Experience working on General Engineering Consultant and/or Design-Build contracts.
