About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to support a Federal project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development and performance of SQL databases for web applications on-prem and Azure cloud platforms. Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, as well as experience with SQL Server 2012 and above. Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Windows and Linux server operating systems, and Azure Cloud technologies is also required.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and human relations skills are essential for interacting with clients and working collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 6+ years of technical experience in SQL Server similar Application support or Development environment.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Knowledge and strong experience and understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server 2012 and above.
  • Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server operating systems.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud technologies (Azure SQL Server, Analysis Services, Synapse, Active Directory).
  • Strong Experience in High availability (Always On, cluster environment).
  • Strong knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models.
