Join Charles River Recovery LLC, a leading provider of substance use treatment services, as a Registered Nurse. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN to join our team in providing high-quality care to our patients.
About the Role:We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work in our inpatient behavioral healthcare setting. As a RN, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients with behavioral healthcare needs. This includes conducting intake assessments, planning and providing nursing care, making nursing diagnoses, and recommending treatment options.
Responsibilities:- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
- Make nursing diagnoses of the medical status of patients and recommend treatment options.
- Consult with medical and other behavioral healthcare staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
- Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
- Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
- Assist the client in understanding the nature of the disease of addiction and the need for treatment.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
- Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatment of pain.
- Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.
- Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and members of the public by responding to requests for service or making appropriate referrals in a timely manner.
- Up-to-date and active State Nursing license is required.
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Previous experience in behavioral healthcare is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM criteria and terminology.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar.
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; and participate in meetings.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; thorough knowledge of facility proprietary systems.
