About the Role
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role requires a skilled and compassionate individual who can work collaboratively with healthcare providers, colleagues, and the public to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Heart Failure Clinic in reducing hospital readmissions for cardiology patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic services, including ordering and interpreting lab results and prescribing medications
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and self-care
Requirements
- Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program
- Minimum six months of experience in a specialty, with one year preferred
- Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants and eligibility for state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
