Job Title: Sales Associate

Casa De Fruta is seeking a Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service to our customers. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for greeting and acknowledging every guest, demonstrating solid product knowledge, and maintaining an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and acknowledge every guest
  • Demonstrate solid product knowledge
  • Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements
  • Demonstrate friendly and helpful service to all customers consistently
  • Suggest additional items to the customer
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and media accountabilities at POS registers
  • Ring each item on the correct key
  • Minimize cash discrepancies so they do not exceed +/- $5.00 per day
  • Thank all customers at the end of each transaction
  • Handle difficult/challenging situations with a high level of professionalism
  • Meet or exceed Chevron's customer service standards
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, and display maintenance
  • Stock the floor as needed
  • Complete housekeeping tasks as needed
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and practices
Qualifications:
  • Have basic math skills
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard
Work Requirements:
  • Standing/walking (working at cash register) - Constantly
  • Lifting up to 10 lbs - Frequently
  • Driving motorized vehicle (golf cart, forklift) - Never
  • Repetitive pushing/pulling (scrubbing, wiping, mopping, sweeping, scraping, hosing) - Constantly
  • Climbing, working from ladder or stepstool - Occasionally
  • Bending/stooping (merchandising, stocking etc) - Constantly
  • Kneeling (cleaning toilets, floors, stocking, merchandising, etc) - Occasionally
  • Lifting over 10 lbs (stocking, merchandising, cleaning) - Frequently
  • Reaching (stocking, merchandising, cleaning walls, windows, mirrors, etc) - Occasionally
  • Overhead work (stocking, merchandising, cleaning walls, windows, changing light bulbs, etc.) - Occasionally
  • Other tasks, including minor maintenance and/or repair - Occasionally
  • Receiving Merchandise - Occasionally
  • Merchandising/ Stocking items - Constantly
  • Working at a computer - Never
