Job Opportunity

Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant/Monitor Tech to join our team at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct care to patients and support the needs of patients in a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
  • Meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal hygiene care, assist with nutritional needs, and provide comfort care and other assistance.
  • Appropriately and safely transfer patients, take vital signs, and complete recordkeeping.
  • Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.

Requirements:

  • BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date.
  • Meet one of the following education qualifications:
    • 6 months of nursing assistant experience
    • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
    • Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire
    • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
    • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Shift Rotation: Day/Night Rotation

Hours Per Pay Period: 64

Compensation Range: $17.84 - $22.19 / hour

Union: St. Joseph's SEIU Local 113 (STJSEIU)

FTE: 0.8

Weekends: Every Other
