Job Summary

Montereau is seeking a skilled professional to lead our Adult Chorus program, promoting healthy choices and lifestyles among residents and team members through educational programming, rehearsals, and wellness activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement chorus educational programming, including rehearsals and wellness promotional activities and events.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Wellness Specialist and Wellness Program Manager to ensure program materials and equipment inventory are ordered and maintained.
  • Assist in planning and executing 6 concerts per year.
  • Provide support to residents and team members in promoting healthy choices and lifestyles.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dedicated Director of Adult Chorus.
  • Previous experience working with older adults and/or previous training in working with older adults is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to successfully match exercise prescriptions to physical goals.
  • Ability to design chorus class instruction in an entertaining way to promote ongoing class participation.
  • Basic computer competency and ability to use and learn a variety of software programs, specifically Microsoft Office programs and fitness tracking software.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse leadership team, staff, residents, and third-party associates.
Working Conditions

This position is performed primarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting within either a private or shared office environment. May occasionally perform work outdoors and/or go offsite for resident excursions.

Mental and Emotional Requirements
  • Understanding and implementing simple written and verbal instructions, and performing basic mathematical computations.
  • Planning own work.
  • Working independently or as a member of a team, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
