Job Overview:
As a Commercial Tire Service Specialist, you will be engaged in delivering exceptional tire and related services at a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and efficiency of tire operations for commercial clients in the trucking sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tire services including dismounting and mounting various tire types.
- Learn to execute match mounting, dual assembly matching, and radial runout assessments as required.
- Inflate tires to the specified PSI according to load requirements.
- Assess tire conditions to determine repairability and carry out necessary repairs.
- Remove tires for retreading or repair as needed.
- Accurately complete service tickets for management review.
- Maintain and clean service equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Deliver 'Service Excellence - Always' to meet the service objectives of the center and our clients.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Engage in various manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
Basic Requirements:
- No relocation assistance is available for this position.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 months of relevant experience in Commercial Tire Service or a related field.
Candidate Attributes:
- Possess a mechanical aptitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and working in a safe manner.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a willingness to participate in training sessions.
