Job Overview:
As an Automotive Repair Estimator at Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be essential in our service center, ensuring that every customer receives exceptional Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) and a precise mechanical repair/service estimate that meets the highest standards of clarity and professionalism.
Your strong communication and organizational abilities will be crucial as you collaborate with technicians and Advisors to address customer inquiries and maintain an orderly repair log, maximizing productivity and efficiency.
In this role, you will coordinate the accurate DVI and repair orders for Advisors to present to customers promptly.
Additionally, you will liaise with parts suppliers and external partners to guarantee that we have the necessary components to complete repairs effectively.
As part of our organization, you will have the chance to cultivate lasting relationships with our customers and vendors, helping us uphold our reputation as a dependable and trustworthy automotive service provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all digital vehicle inspections conducted by technicians.
- Address customer inquiries and prepare estimates for Advisors and customers.
- Implement and maintain an efficient diary within Tekmetric and Autoflow to receive and edit DVIs from Technicians and generate comprehensive and accurate repair estimates.
- Communicate with Advisors to set expectations regarding repair timelines, parts availability, and repair options to assist in service sales.
- Facilitate maximum productivity in line with shop policies and assist in distributing service tickets to technicians based on workload, complexity, and customer needs.
- Present clear and understandable solutions for repairing customer vehicles.
- Ensure all work is estimated accurately and completed within the promised timeframe.
- Build effective relationships with parts suppliers, tool vendors, and other external partners.
- Communicate parts availability and potential issues to Advisors as they relate to repair options.
- Prepare a list of required service department equipment, supplies, and repairs needed for complex jobs, reviewing these with the Service Manager as necessary.
- May assist in parts management, including inventory, pricing, returns, and warranty claims.
- Regularly interact with external vendors regarding parts inventory and pricing.
- Collaborate as a team member and assist colleagues as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
