Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist is a vital member of our rehabilitation team, responsible for identifying patient care needs and prioritizing care through evaluation, assessment, planning, and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of speech, language, cognitive, swallowing, and voice disorders, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to identify problems and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Provide or delegate and supervise speech-language pathology patient interventions in a safe and predictable manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance department operations and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to department guidelines.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a Council of Academic Accreditation for Audiology and Speech Pathology accredited program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Nebraska.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or plan for clinical fellowship completion.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing patient needs and volumes. The Speech-Language Pathologist must be able to prioritize work demands, work with minimal supervision, and maintain regular and punctual attendance.
