Year Up United is a highly intensive career training program designed to equip young adults with the technical, business, and professional skills needed to launch their careers.
Participants receive an educational stipend of $525 per week during the internship phase, and the program combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience and personalized coaching and mentorship. The curriculum includes helpdesk/desktop support and other in-depth classes, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
Through this program, you will gain professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, and resume building techniques. Additionally, you will have access to ongoing support and guidance to help you launch your career. Some coursework may be eligible for college credit.
The program places a strong emphasis on internships, partnering with leading organizations such as Amazon, Dell Technologies, Merck, and The University of Texas System. This provides participants with valuable work experience and exposure to the industry. Upon graduation, 80% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months, with an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.
To be eligible for this program, you must be between 18-29 years old, a high school graduate or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., and live within a 30-mile radius of the Year Up United office. You must also be available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program and highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills. Finally, you must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree.
