About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Urology Specialists of East Tennessee. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinical setting under the supervision of an attending provider and practice office manager.

Responsibilities

* Assess patients' general condition and take vital signs and weight.
* Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments, including phlebotomy, injections, suturing, and other typical office procedures.
* Administer patient medications as prescribed by the provider and document accordingly.
* Orient, instruct, and train assigned personnel as needed.
* Provide basic patient care as ordered and ensure test results are received and relayed to patients in a timely manner.
* Demonstrate sensitivity to patients' comfort and privacy using AIDET fundamentals of communication.
* Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.

Requirements

* Must be licensed as an LPN in the state of Tennessee.
* American Heart Association BLS certification required.
