About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Colonial Williamsburg Company. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, guests, and properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol and Inspection: Conduct regular patrols and inspections of all Colonial Williamsburg properties, including buildings, grounds, parking lots, and outlying areas.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations and calls for service in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assistance and Support: Provide assistance and backup to other Public Safety employees as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document and record unusual conditions, situations, or events, and provide timely and accurate information to management.
  • Enforcement of Rules and Regulations: Enforce Colonial Williamsburg rules and regulations, including access control and crowd management.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Two years of public contact experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Current certification in CPR, first aid, and AED required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and pushing.
