Job Summary:

The Weekend Supervisor is a key member of our nursing team, responsible for assisting the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, and directing the weekend functions of the Nursing Department(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing nursing service department programs and activities.
  • Make written and oral reports to the ADHS/DHS concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
  • Complete nursing admission assessments and baseline care planning for new admissions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of skilled documentation.
  • Supervise and assist with resident care according to assessed resident status and established plan of care.
  • Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of resident care plans.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Assess residents for expected results of treatments and medications.
  • Notify supervisor, physician, and residents' legal representative of changes in condition.

Requirements:

  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions concerning job duties.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, vendors, and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
  • Must have and maintain a current, valid state LPN/RN license and current, valid CPR certification.
