About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Museum Manager to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of community education and museum outreach, working closely with the museum curatorial team, and promoting programs across southern Utah.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Education and Outreach: Develop and implement effective community education and outreach strategies to engage with diverse audiences and promote the museum's programs and services.
  • Museum Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the museum, including exhibit management, storage and curation of specimens, and marketing and promotion of programs.
  • Team Management: Supervise a team of 5-6 student employees and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of museum programs and services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the STEM Center director, program coordinators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or Education is required.
  • Experience: Strong experience in event management, community engagement, and museum operations is required.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
