As a Packaging Solutions Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing connections across various functions such as Brand Pack-Dev R&D, PS leadership, and Purchasing.

  • Overseeing Total Delivered Cost (net savings) ideation and execution for designated supply chain responsibilities, including daily management of packaging supplier technical relationships, Business Continuity Planning, and quality audit preparedness.

  • Handling daily packaging operations for specific supply chain responsibilities in the region, ensuring that new packaging solutions and systems are optimized for success in manufacturing facilities.

  • Leading daily management of specific packaging supply chain initiatives, including those involving Central/Contract Manufacturers sourced products, and developing short, medium, and long-term savings strategies.

  • Facilitating the development and support of supplier packaging innovations and materials, ensuring that the supplier platform packaging materials and systems are suitable for use in Contract Manufacturing/P&G Plants.

  • Collaborating with Purchasing to strategically select packaging suppliers for designated supply chain responsibilities and recommending a long-term sourcing strategy.

Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
A strong understanding or curiosity about packaging technologies (such as blow molding and injection molding, among others) is essential.

Relationship Building:
Establishing diverse and collaborative relationships will be vital for your success in supporting the business. You will need to cultivate positive and productive working relationships to lead, integrate, and focus a multifunctional team.

Leadership Skills:
Ability to set technical direction, balance competing priorities, and manage conflicts to deliver multiple packaging projects across various sites.

Innovative Thinking:
Capacity to innovate as well as apply proven solutions effectively.

Task Management:
Proficiency in managing tasks across multiple projects, juggling various priorities, and adapting to change.

Effective Communication:
Ability to communicate clearly, constructively, and promptly with cross-functional team members and leadership.

Preferred Education:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Packaging Engineering
