Job Overview

Vector CSP, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of various equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Repair machines, equipment, and structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Design new equipment to aid in the repair or maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and building structures.
  • Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Estimate costs to repair machinery, equipment, and building structures.
  • Align and balance new equipment after installation.
  • Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
  • Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery located in cafeterias, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, or factories.
  • Dismantle machines, equipment, and devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
  • Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of residential or commercial buildings.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, or tools.
  • Repair machines or systems using the necessary tools.
  • Determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of experience, including performing maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skills in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices, including OSHA regulations and protocols for working with hazardous materials or electrical equipment.
  • Physical dexterity and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, maneuvering equipment, and working in confined spaces.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, with a focus on precision in installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system or equipment issues.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for guiding installations, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Collaborative team player, following instructions from supervisors and working efficiently with colleagues to complete tasks.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of handling, storing, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials in compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates and following instructions accurately.
