Environmental Sustainability Manager

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to drive our sustainability initiatives and contribute to our commitment to regenerative community building within the construction industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating current sustainability practices, collecting and analyzing relevant data, strategizing for improvement, and implementing initiatives to bolster our sustainability efforts.

About the Role:
This role reports to Gilbane's VP Director of Global Sustainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams on sustainability strategies and action plans, proposing innovative initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental footprint and enhancing social responsibility. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting development and implementation of sustainability processes aligned with Gilbane's corporate objectives and industry best practices.
- Sharing oversight of Sustainability Peer Groups, as prioritized by Director, to help accomplish key initiatives.
- Assisting with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data pertaining to environmental impact, resource consumption, carbon emissions, and waste generation.
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in sustainability, innovation, environmental management, or related field. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications and experience (e.g., LEED AP, IECC, WELL, GRI, Living Buildings) are advantageous.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sustainability, innovation, environmental management, or related field, preferably within the construction industry.

Our salary range for this position is $84,900 - $130,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
