At Cox Communications, we're looking for a highly skilled Cyber Risk and Compliance Professional to join our team. This role will involve contributing to compliance and governance activities related to multiple frameworks, including SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and NIST 800-53. As a member of the compliance team, you'll work closely with the Sr Manager, Cybersecurity, to ensure effective implementation of security controls and compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security controls, control design, and operating effectiveness testing. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to promote compliance across teams and drive results.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide governance over internal assessments and external audits of compliance programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper implementation and management of security controls.
  • Develop and maintain remediation plans alongside remediation owners, then track the plans through completion.
  • Monitor and enhance controls needed to achieve and maintain SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or other compliance requirements.
  • Manage changes to control frameworks that support security compliance objectives.
  • Maintain tools and processes for compliance monitoring.
  • Effectively communicate compliance project status, timelines, risk, and remediation efforts to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Help develop key reporting metrics and executive presentations to ensure awareness and support of compliance programs.
