Waste Management Professional

The Container Delivery Driver plays a vital role in our team by operating container delivery trucks and equipment to provide safe and efficient service to customers. This position requires a high level of physical fitness, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate container delivery trucks along designated routes to deliver, swap, or pick up containers efficiently.
Ensures timely completion of daily routes and maintains a clean and organized truck.
• Inspect containers and customer sites to ensure safety standards are met, and all necessary procedures are followed.
Evaluates site conditions to identify potential hazards and takes corrective action as needed.
• Opens container enclosures or gates to access containers safely and efficiently.
Maintains a clean work environment by cleaning up spills and debris during the loading and unloading process.
• Conducts daily pre- and post-trip inspections, completing and submitting the vehicle condition report at the end of the shift.
Identifies and addresses any issues that may impact vehicle performance or safety.
• Interacts with customers and the general public to answer questions, respond to requests, and notify supervisors of issues requiring management action.
Provides excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and responsive to customer needs.
• Maintains accurate records, including DOT logbooks, daily route/productivity sheets, and vehicle condition reports (post-trip inspection sheets) as required by law or company policy.
Submits completed paperwork on time to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B, and be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate is required.
Ability to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to company standards.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the day.
Follows all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
