Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to individuals and ensure accurate verification of the five rights.
  • Attend residents' doctor appointments and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Conduct wound assessments and provide dressing changes as needed.
  • Audit medications during new cycles and verify the five rights.
  • Perform g-tube insertions and colostomy care for individuals.
  • Administer intramuscular injections and diabetes insulin medication.
  • Evaluate residents' level of consciousness and respond to behavioral episodes.
  • Document client notes and report unusual behaviors or injuries.
  • Participate in community outings and provide support during leisure activities.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Current Licensed Psychiatric Technician certification.
  • Direct Support Professional 1 & 2 certification.
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid California Driver's License.
