Medical Office Assistant

Job Summary

This is a Back Office position where you will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vitals, charting, administering vaccines and specimen collection. You will also be entering information into a medical computer system, editing patient charts as needed, medication refills, referrals and creating lab orders. The ideal candidate must be organized, courteous, and professional with the ability to multitask and maintain patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with medical office terminology and procedures
  • Professional phone etiquette and appearance
  • Ability to complete all aspects of the position in either English and/or Spanish
  • Willingness and ability to work closely and effectively with other team members
  • Pleasant personality and excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and properly room/assess/brief providers on multiple patients, often simultaneously
  • Demonstrate ability to conform to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality
  • Previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience/exposure is helpful
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited, verifiable medical assistantship program
  • English/Spanish fluency
Availability and Hours of Operation

Full-Time Position is Available Immediately. Part-time can be considered. Office Hours Mon-Thursday 7 am to 6PM Friday 7am -3pm. Shift will consist of 40 hours weekly. We offer competitive wages, PTO, 401k, dental, vision, and a great working environment.
