Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Document patient information and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on health-related topics and disease management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing practices and technologies to ensure the delivery of evidence-based care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • One year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a medical-surgical unit.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients with or without the use of assistive devices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Specialty certification in a relevant area, such as critical care or pediatrics.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
