Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our patients' treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, current health status, and treatment goals.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
