Job Overview

  • Ensures the swift and hygienic preparation of all menu offerings, adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Promotes cleanliness among team members as they perform their tasks and contributes to the maintenance of other areas.
  • Facilitates cross-training within the department, fostering a supportive environment for team members.
  • Manages food production processes, including proper cooking techniques, timing, and temperature, while ensuring sanitation and safe handling of food.
  • Exhibits thorough product knowledge by correctly storing and handling perishables, maintaining their quality and integrity.
  • Supervises the proper care, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Provides assistance to Sous Chefs and supports operations across all kitchen areas as needed.
  • Identifies and rectifies any discrepancies in product quality and standards.
  • Completes necessary checklists and inventory sheets prior to the end of the shift.
  • Prepares effectively for peak service periods while managing waste at the conclusion of service.
  • Assists Cook III and Sous Chef in kitchen operations, executing all assigned duties proficiently.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the property, including stairs or escalators.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, along with the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
  • Responsive to visual and auditory signals.
  • Tolerance for environments with dust, loud noises, and bright lighting.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in culinary preparation is essential.
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and equipment operation is required.
  • Availability to work any day and shift, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
