AFSIM Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled AFSIM Analyst to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our Strike Analysis Group, you will be responsible for developing models and performing analysis on sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems for mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement models to simulate complex systems and analyze data to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with our software development team to improve our custom tools and automate production analysis pipelines.
- Work with a small team to design and implement efficient data representations for large datasets and test accurate interactions across interdependent algorithms.
- Present your work through briefings to technical specialists and decision-makers.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another related discipline.
- At least two years of experience working with AFSIM to conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Experience conducting statistical analysis to identify trends and draw conclusions.
- Proficiency in a programming or scripting language such as MATLAB or Python.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
