Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with approved techniques and protocols.

• Consistently perform high-quality ultrasound studies for various patient populations, adhering to protocols established by radiologists/designated specialists.
• Accurately document pathology identified in scans and demonstrate thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
• Prepare patients for exams, obtain pertinent medical history, and review physician orders.
• Respond to changes in the work schedule, covering all shifts on a rotational basis and responding immediately on call.
• Utilize RIS and hospital-based computer programs effectively, adhering to policies and practices regarding confidentiality of electronic communications.

• Experience in abdominal, obstetrical, small parts, and vascular imaging preferred.
• Formal education in Diagnostic Ultrasound Program (RDMS program graduate for MFM area) required.
• ARDMS certification or registry eligibility, with licensure within two years of employment.
