Role Summary:
The Internal Medicine Department is seeking applications for the role of Coordinator (LPN). This position is pivotal in overseeing and managing various elements of patient care for individuals living with HIV. Key responsibilities include:
  • Organizing clinic appointments and patient encounters.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Planning and coordinating discharge processes for patients.
  • Facilitating hospital admissions as necessary.
  • Educating patients and their families about HIV/AIDS and medication adherence.
  • Maintaining comprehensive patient records and databases.
  • Interpreting clinical and laboratory results to support clinical decisions.
  • Addressing patient inquiries and issues in consultation with medical staff.

Important Note: This position is contingent upon grant funding.

  • Understanding of patient care protocols for HIV/AIDS.

  • Knowledge of medication adherence strategies.
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and self-motivation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current Tennessee licensure as an LPN.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with HIV/AIDS patient populations.
  • 5 years of clinical experience.
